Telephone service and payment days in December and at the turn of the year
Christmas and New Year affect the funds telephone service and the payment days of allowances.
The funds telephone service (09 – 5422 7300) is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9–15 until 11.12.2025.
After that the funds telephone service is:

Payment days of unemployment allowance
Daily allowances are normally paid on every working day. The money is in the applicants’ bank account two business days after the application has been processed at the fund. The payment schedule for allowances will operate normally up until the payment date of Tuesday, 23 December 2025, when allowances processed on Friday, 19 December 2025, will be transferred to accounts.
Unemployment benefits will be paid at the turn of the year as follows:

Please note that the date on which your application is processed is usually not the same as the date on which your application arrived at the fund.
Only the follow-up applications of those who are fully unemployed will be processed as soon as possible. Due to the large number of applications arriving at the turn of the month, we cannot guarantee that all of the applications of fully unemployed persons can be processed on the day of arrival.
We aim to process continuation applications from those who are not fully unemployed within two weeks of their arrival at the latest.
To ensure that the payment of daily allowance runs as smoothly as possible also during the Christmas period, please remember to submit your application as usual for a one-month or four-week period. Public holidays do not affect the length of the application period.
Payment dates for Mobility allowances and Transition security allowances
Mobility allowances and Transition security allowances are normally paid on Thursdays.
These benefits will not be paid during Christmas week (Thursday, 25 December 2025); instead, the payment date will move to Friday, 2 January 2026. Otherwise, the payment schedule remains unchanged, with payments made on Thursday, 18 December 2025, and Thursday, 8 January 2026.
