Summer Phone Service Hours and Call Recording from 2 June

Exceptional phone service hours

Between 2 June and 31 August 2025, the unemployment fund’s phone service will have exceptional opening hours.

The phone service at (09) 5422 7300 will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 to 12:00.

The easiest way to contact the unemployment fund is by sending a message through our eService. We respond to messages on all weekdays.

We begin to record our customer service calls

Starting from 2 June 2025, we will record calls to the unemployment fund’s customer service number (09 – 5422 7300).

The purpose of call recording is to

  • ensure the rights and legal protection of our customers and staff
  • prevent misuse
  • maintain the quality of customer service.

Sotekassa is the data controller for the call recordings. The legal basis for processing under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the legitimate interest of the unemployment fund in managing the customer relationship. Sotekassa is obliged to maintain a privacy notice concerning the recordings to inform data subjects. A notification about call recording will be played at the beginning of each call when recording begins.

Recordings are stored securely and will only be used for the purposes mentioned above. The recordings will be retained for one year.

Call recording will begin on 2 June 2025.
